Welcome to your Virtual Pageant Prep!

This program is designed to help you feel confident and prepared so you can do your best at your state pageant. You'll also develop and strengthen life skills as you practice and learn more about what to expect pageant weekend.

 

If you haven't already received it, keep your eyes open for your Pageant Prep Packet which will arrive in the mail. These materials are a companion to this online curriculum.

 

The Virtual Pageant Prep is a "go at your own pace" course and there is no deadline to complete the program. It is a tool to help you and we want it to be an enjoyable experience. Feel free to come back to this web page as often as you would like to continue preparing. If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to us at stateinfo@namiss.com.

Pageant Weekend Details

1. Pageant Weekend

In your NAM Planner, you'll see that the Illinois and Indiana pageants are held the same weekend: September 4-7, 2020 in Indianapolis at the Marriott East. 

2. Pageant Schedule

To see the tentative pageant schedule, Click Here. You will see that different age groups compete on different days. This is TENTATIVE and is just designed to give you a general idea. The final schedule will be released two to three w before the State Pageant. Click Here for schedule FAQs.

3. Pageant Hotel

The State Pageant is held at the Marriott East in Indianapolis. You are not required to stay at the host hotel but most contestants due because it is very convenient (get ready in the room, rest during breaks, store all of your items, enjoy the pool, don't deal with traffic, etc.) If you choose to stay at the host hotel, you are responsible for booking and paying for your own hotel stay. There is a NAM discounted rate. Make reservations by calling 1-800- 991-3346 and for the National American Miss room block or Click Here and indicate you are an "ATTENDEE" and select your dates to book your reservation.

NAM Magazines

Magazine #1 was either mailed to you or given to you at an Open Call. Online Link

 

Magazine #2 is included in your mailed Pageant Prep Packet. Online Link

 

Magazine #3 will be mailed to you about two to three weeks before the pageant (it includes the forms you will fill out and bring to the pageant).

 

Magazine #4 will be mailed to you about two weeks before the pageant (with final reminders).  

Making Online Payments:

YOU want to make a payment?

(1) Visit namestateinfo.com and click on "Make a Payment", or

(2) Create a MyNAMiss account at namiss.com and you can make payments through that website too.

SPONSORS want to make payments? 

(1) They can give you cash or write checks payable to you. You then make payments to NAM with your debit/credit card, or

(2) They can write checks payable to NAM and you can mail them to us: 990 Peachtree Industrial Blvd #597, Suwanee, GA 30024. Make sure the State Finalists's name is in the memo line of the check.

LESSON 5:

Sponsors

Step 1:

Make a list of family, friends, local businesses and organizations that you can ask to sponsor you.

 

Step 2:

Call these individuals and explain that you have been selected as a State Finalist for National American Miss. Tell them that our program helps girls grow in confidence and develop life skills. Express your excitement and explain you are seeking sponsors to support you. You can ask them to donate a specific amount or ask them to donate an amount of their choice. Step 3:

If sponsors prefer to write a check, they can make it payable to you and you can deposit it in your own account and then submit payments to NAM with your own credit/debit card...or your sponsors can write the check to NAM and it can be mailed to our office: 990 Peachtree Industrial Blvd #597, Suwanee, GA 30024.

If your potential sponsor would like even information about National American Miss, provide this LINK to our national website, and/or click here for BROCHURES that you can email to potential sponsors (you will also receive several printed versions of this brochure in your mailed Pageant Prep packet.)
